SONS OF GOD ARE CREATED TO CONQUER PART 3
WHO ARE THE SONS OF
GOD?
§ The
sons of God are those who have received Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour
through faith.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power
to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on
His name:…[John 1:12]
§ It is
the son of God that is created to conquer every wars and battles and the world
through faith.
For ye are all the children of God by faith in
Christ Jesus….[Galatians 3:26]
WHAT ARE YOU TO DO
TO CONQUER?
1. By doing
God’s will.
§ Believe
in Jesus Christ
§ Abstain
from sin
WHAT IS CONQUERING?
·
To conquer means overcoming or taking control
of a place or people by military force.
·
It also means climbing a mountain successfully
or having victory over your challenges.
[Revelation 6:2] ….” And I
saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown
was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. “
Until you are empowered spiritually, you cannot conquer.
[KEY
POINTS]:
§ We are called to be.
[1 John 3:1] … Behold,
what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called
the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
§ We should be like Him when He appears.
Genesis 1:26
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and
over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that
creepeth upon the earth.” … Gen.1:26
§ We are Gods on the earth
Psalms 82:6 … “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are
children of the most High.”
HOW DO YOU CONQUER
YOUR ENEMIES?
1. By knowledge: We
need the knowledge of God to tackle every circumstance in life.
“Proverbs 11:9…. An hypocrite with his mouth
destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.“
§ Knowledge
is a strong weapon of victory in the hands of every believer that has it. This knowledge
can only be found in His [God’s] Word.
“Psalms 119:130….. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it
giveth understanding unto the simple.”
§ Knowledge
is what the devil and his agents are afraid of in the hands of believers.
[Hosea 4:6-7 ……My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:
because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt
be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also
forget thy children.
Vs 7: As they were increased, so they sinned against
me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.”
§ Knowledge
is very hard to get because many people don’t want to learn/study the Word of
God but seeking for material things. Knowledge is good and sweet when you have
it but ignorant is bad and evil when you lack knowledge.
“[2 Timothy 2:15 ….Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a
workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2. By the mystery of fellowship: There
are battles you cannot fight alone. The Bible talks about where two or three are
gathered in the name of the Lord, He is there is their midst [Matthew
18:20] …… also “….that one shall chase a thousand; but two shall put ten thousand
to flight’.
“Hebrew 10:25…. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the
more, as ye see the day approaching.”
“Proverbs 27:17….Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the
countenance of his friend.”
§ The
Mighty God dwells in the midst of His brethren fellowshipping.
“[Zephaniah 3:17 …..The
LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over
thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
“Matthew 18:20 …..For where two or three are gathered together
in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
§ The
place of fellowship is a place of power. That is why the devil is always angry
about the Assembly of God’s people. And he will come with offence,
discouragement like since….”since you’ve been going to church, what good
thing has it benefit you”? You even do better without church.
§ Do not
joke with the place of fellowship. Create time for fellowship with God like [worshipping,
reading of the word, fasting and prayers]. Communicate with Him daily and let
there be this relationship, this intimacy with Him always.
§ For
this is a place where God’s blessing is guarantee.
“[Psalms 133:1-3….. Behold,
how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is
like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even
Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
As
the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion:
for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.”
3. By the mystery of power of agreement:
Agreement is a very strong tool in the hand of believers. You must first agree
with God (being sinless).
“[Amos 3:3……Can two walk together, except they be agreed”
§ For
God does not answer the prayers of a sinner Matthew 18:20.
§ Agreement
cannot function without unity and forgiveness. Genesis 11:1-8
“Gen.11:1-8…….”….vs4…..And they said, Go to, let us build us
a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name,
lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. ………”
4. The mystery of honour:
Until you honour and appreciate the grace of God upon the lives of others and
God’s servants, the grace of God upon their lives can never work for you.
“Psalms 49:20 …..Man that is in honour, and understandeth not,
is like the beasts that perish.
“2 Kings 3:11 ……But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a
prophet of the LORD, that we may enquire of the LORD by him? And one of the
king of Israel's servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat,
which poured water on the hands of Elijah.
DEALING
WITH THE ENEMIES WITHIN REQUIRES YOU TO HONOUR THE FOLLOWINGS SET OF PEOPLE
But
who are you to honour?
When you are fighting battles,
we need to tackle every loop holes at home and fight all enemies within;
it could be anybody or anything. It can be offence from husband, wife or
children and many others. We are told that the devil is an accuser of brethren;
he can come in any angle to resist and watered down our prayers. So we are to
consider the unlisted points to tackle him when he comes to our homes. …..The prince
of this world came to Jesus and found nothing against Him…”
a. You are to honour your pastor
“Ephesians 6:1….”Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for
this is right.”
“1 Samuel 9:7 …. “Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold,
if we go, what shall we bring the man? For the bread is spent in our vessels,
and there is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we?..”
b. Honour your husband and husband honour
your wife: These are the ways to conquer the enemy because there
are enemies within.
“Ephesians 5:21-33 ……’’
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Vs 22: Wives, submit yourselves unto your own
husbands, as unto the Lord.
Vs 23: For the husband is the head of the wife,
even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Vs 25: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ
also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Vs28: So ought men to love their wives as their
own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. ………”

c. Honour your parent:
“Ephesians 6:2-3…… “Honour thy father and mother; which is the
first commandment with promise;
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest
live long on the earth.
d. Honour your children:
“Ephesians 6:4 ….. “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children
to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the
Lord.
“Colossians 2:21 …… “Fathers, provoke not your children to anger,
lest they be discouraged.
CONCLUSION
You are born to conquer and until you
fight, you cannot be called a victor and a crown of victory cannot be given to
you.
Life itself is a
battlefield and not a fun fare. It is either you killed or be killed. If you
are not ready to fight do not enter the field to avoid being among casualty.
Don’t forget that generals
of army are known by their scars and experienced they have during their wars
and mission. These scars are what they use to know their impact in service. So fight.
Never you go into a place of prayer but fold your hands and be observing the atmosphere
especially where deliverance prayers is ongoing.
Because you’ll go home with
loads that wasn’t yours; and whenever and wherever you hear prayer that
concerns what you are going through especially “dealing with foundational
powers, evil patters, delays in marriage, cycle of death; I advice you stop and
join an pray such prayers with all tenacity and passion even if it not your
church or denomination. Don’t forget you will not enter into heaven because you
are worshipping in a certain denomination.
